What’s So Special About Kindergarten at Hope? By Angela Schubbe
All of life should be as special as Kindergarten.
Kindergarten is the imaginative place where learners can playfully share and create stories together, explore through themes the world they live in, develop creative thinking skills, work collaboratively to problem-solve, and share and reflect upon what they have learned with others.
Kindergarten is the academic place where letters form words that create sentences to express ideas. It is the backdrop canvas on which finger-paints, blocks, math manipulatives, technology tools and literacy center-work develop and refine the Kindergartner’s unique learning abilities.
Kindergarten is a community in which the learner belongs through their contributions and shared perspectives. It is the place where working as partners with classmates allows for new ideas, projects, designs and creativity. Kindergarten is a community that shares and lives the Christian faith.
Kindergarten is the place which facilitates life-long learning. All of life should be as special as Kindergarten.
Please come to our Kindergarten Open House on Tuesday, November 19th, 6:30-8:00 p.m. and see what makes our Hope Lutheran Kindergarten such a special place.

With the sale just four days before Thanksgiving, there will be a generous variety of pies and other delicious baked goods for your dinner. There will also be a lovely selection of holiday collectables and decorative items, quilts, items for children, and gently used books. And as a special treat for this year, the children of HopeSchool are contributing their time and talents to decorate banners for a silent auction.
The Gift and Goodies Sale is a big fundraiser for the Hope Church Women’s Ministries. The money supports many missions as well as enables the church to purchase items not covered by the budget.
