Abundance of Food Collected!!

Thank you, thank you, and thank you to all of you for your generous donations to our annual food drive! We were absolutely overwhelmed at the volume of food that was donated this year. There is a very high need for food in our community, and so your generosity is so appreciated! Overall, our school has donated an incredible amount of 3,433 units to restock the Hope church food closet and food banks around our community. What a blessing this will be to families who need it as we approach the holiday season.

Each student in our top three donating classes (as measured in units donated per student as the class sizes vary) will receive a free dress pass in next week’s Tuesday envelope to use on a day of their choosing. In addition, our top donating class will receive a pizza party paid for by student council. Here are our top classes:

3rd place – 8th grade (379 units)
2nd place – 7th grade (884 units)
1st place – 5th grade (a stunning 1,484 units donated)

Thank you again to all the students and parents for collecting the food, and especially to the Sunday school kids for sorting ALL 3,433 pieces of food to store in the food closet. This is such a blessing to our community!
