Hope Boys Blue Team Earns Second Place

Blood (figuratively), a lot of sweat and yes, even tears made an appearance at this year’s Peace Invitational Tournament for the Hope Boys Blue Team as the they earned second place! I’m sure you are all as proud of your players as we coaches are.

In the first round the boys played a great game against Peace Bremerton. They played, we think, their best game of the year against Parkland in the second round. Unfortunately, we had a tough game against Concordia Seattle in the championship round and took second place.

It was a busy but very fun weekend of basketball. The PIT is the highlight of the boys season, and in my three years of coaching a Boys 5/6 team we had never made it to the Championship game until this year. I’m very proud of the way the boys played and received many comments about how well they played and carried themselves. They represented themselves, their families and Hope School in a First-Class way!
