Taco Time Coupon Books On Sale in Support of WA D.C. Group

Time is counting down until seventh- and eighth-grade middle school students leave for Washington, D.C. This program occurs every other year as an enrichment program led by veteran eighth grade teacher, Roselyn Newton. Students will depart Seattle for Philadelphia this Spring where they will begin five full days of touring.

They will see locations that are important to our country’s beginning, the Civil War, and our present-day government. Independence Hall, Congress Hall, the Liberty Bell, the Gettysburg battlefield, United States Naval Academy, Fort McHenry, Gunston Hall, the U. S. Capitol, the National Archives, and Arlington National Cemetery.  This amazing field trip makes history come alive for students. “Students and parents will be overwhelmed with a rich and deep appreciation for the sacrifices of time and life that so many have given for the preservation of our great country,” said Mrs. Newton who has led this trip six times at Hope school. This year 26 seventh- and eighth-grade students will be seeing the sights from Hope and 11 students from Concordia Lutheran School, Seattle.
