Curriculum Updates and Curriculum Night by Kristen Okabayashi
Curriculum Night is tonight and we hope all our K-8 parents are able to join us! We will kick off in the sanctuary at 7:00 PM for general information about school-wide updates and changes. Next, middle school parents will remain in the sanctuary for more specific classroom information, while K-5 parents will travel to classrooms for our first informational session. After that, all families are welcome to circulate throughout our classrooms to pick-up information about curriculum, upcoming projects, and visit with teachers. We are looking forward to it!
As those of you know who have been with us for a while, at Hope we are constantly researching best practices in education, which helps us make speedy changes in our curriculum and structure if we think there is a better way to do something. As a result, it seems that every year we have some small to large sized changes.
Some of the key changes we will talk about tonight include our new report cards and the rationale behind the changes there, our new Spanish curriculum, and our middle school elective additions including robotics and advanced technology. We will also hand out updated curriculum outlines for each classroom and you will have time to ask questions of our teachers.
See you tonight at 7:00 PM!
