A Snowy Day, by Kristen Okabayashi
I hope you all enjoyed the snow yesterday; what a beautiful day it was! No one has asked yet about making up snow days, but I know those of you from public schools are used to having to make those days up. At Hope, we build in a few extra days into our calendar just in case something happens like a snow day; at this point we have only missed one official day and are nowhere close to adding days of school. So enjoy making those snowmen with joy and peace!
Thank you to our staff, students and some parent volunteers who helped shovel snow and ice off the sidewalks this morning! It was a huge help to us and we appreciate everyone pitching in. It takes a village!
Travelers to LEST – folders are coming home today in the communication envelopes. Included in the folders are the final Hope schedule which includes all events, final basketball and knowledge bowl brackets, the drama schedule, along with maps and other information from Concordia University. Event coaches, please note that we have not received the basketball passes yet and so those will likely go home next Tuesday. Please let us know in the office or ask your child’s teacher or coach if you have any questions. Go Eagles!
