Lutheran School’s Week
Each year, we celebrate being part of the Lutheran Schools community during Lutheran Schools Week. This year, the theme of Lutheran Schools week is “It’s All About Jesus”, and we will celebrate this theme all week, ending this Sunday January 28, 2018.
During the week, students will take an online missions trip each day to Cambodia, as we discover more about student life there. Students will also participate in a hygiene kit service project mid-week, with each student creating a kit to then hand out to someone who needs it. Students in younger grades will create crafts, and then later in the week all grades preschool through 8th will put together good neighbor baskets to deliver to the community around us, which is always a highlight. Wednesday’s guest speaker during chapel will be Jim Scriven, our Lutheran Northwest District Education Executive, and that day will also feature a play performance by our friends at Seattle Lutheran High School.
This Sunday, please join us at Hope Church as preschool students will sing at the 8:00 AM service, and our K-8 students will sing “What a Beautiful Name” at the 10:30 AM service. Both services will feature a special “Join the Journey” video which will include some Hope students.
5th through 8th grade families, LEST folders are coming home today which include the most updated schedule, maps of the area, and list of competitors from Hope. We still don’t have information available on music, knowledge bowl, and drama times but we’ll continue to update our website as those times are scheduled. If you have any questions or need another folder, feel free to reach out to us at the school office. Reminder that we have added some rooms to our block at Embassy Suites for Wednesday night February 14 because of the early games on Thursday, if you would like to add a night.
Re-enrollment Ends This Friday – 1/26
