Parents and Teachers of Hope (PTH) News! By Jennifer Rice, PTH Secretary
Throughout the school year, PTH has been working quietly behind the scenes. Our dual focus is to continue to build school community through events like Donuts with Dad/Muffins with Mom and the very popular middle school dance, as well as provide funding for class parties, enhancements like the Pacific Science Center Vans, bus maintenance, and many other items. As the school year quickly comes to a close, the PTH Board has been hard at work finalizing a few more events: Coffee with Kristen, Teacher Appreciation Week, Grandparents’ Day and, looking ahead, Back to School BBQ. Watch for volunteer opportunities in the Words of Hope or visit Signup Genius https://www.signupgenius.com/findasignup and search pth@hopeseattle.org.
We are very excited for our first annual Arts Walk Benefit and hope that you can join us on Saturday, June 1st. This is our main fundraising event this year and our goal is to raise $13,000 which will help cover funding for the 2019-2020 school year. In addition to a live auction highlighting projects from each class, the event will showcase art from students as well as the community, and include a silent auction. There will be art, music, food, and lots of fun. To find out how you can be involved and help make this event a success, please join us on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 PM in the Commons.
You can follow us throughout the year at https://hopeluthstg.wpengine.com/home/parents/and in our Facebook group (search: Parents & Teachers of Hope Lutheran School) or reach out via email at pth@hopeseattle.org. Our last general meeting will be on May 8th and we hope you can join us as we close this year and look ahead to the next. All parents and Hope supporters are welcome!
