Hope School Graduations – June 11, 2020
Happy Graduation 2020
The past week has been full of the usual emotions that surround us on the last week of school. Despite everything that has changed over the past three months, at Hope our teachers and staff feel excitement, joy, sadness, and pride in all our students, particularly the ones we are celebrating during graduation ceremonies.
Our two preschool classes, Sea Turtles and Orcas, celebrated together via Zoom in sweet ceremonies with graduation camps and things that teachers love and miss about each student. Our kindergarten students were also celebrated on Zoom as they all competed their learning this year and are moving on to first grade!
Today, the middle school teachers Mr. Allen, Mrs. Meyer, and Mrs. Kunkel, along with admission director Sally Heit and principal Kristen Okabayashi, drove around the city to personally drop off 8th grade diplomas at each graduate’s home, in the Hope bus! It was so good to connect with each graduate and celebrate them as they prepare to move on to high school in the fall.
We have put together a complete graduation ceremony for our 8th graders, and we will watch this tonight at 7:00, the time we were previously scheduled to host our graduation ceremony. You are welcome to join in and celebrate with them as we send them off! Here is the link:
Please join us in lifting up all our preschool, kindergarten, and 8th grade graduates.
