We were hoping to see COVID-19 spread rates for King County decreasing over the month of December, which thankfully occurred. At this point, we feel that we can safely follow our planned gradual return to school this month for our students who choose to be in person. As a reminder, the return to school dates and details are listed below:
|Jan 4, 2021||Jan 5-8, 2021||Jan 11-15||Jan 19…|
|PS-Grade 1||No school||In Person||In Person||In Person|
|Grades 2-3||No school||Full Virtual||In Person||In Person|
|Grade 4||No school||Full Virtual||Full Virtual||In Person|
|Grades 5-8||No school||Full Virtual||Full Virtual||Hybrid|
As we return to school, please remember that as previously stated, all in-person students must quarantine for at least 10 days prior to their return to school date. As we gradually open school up, in order to keep students and staff safe, we require that families continue to follow current state guidelines around safety protocols, which include the following:
- Indoor Social Gatherings with people from outside your household are prohibited unless they (a) quarantine for fourteen days prior to the social gathering; or (b) quarantine for seven (7) days prior to the social gathering and receive a negative COVID19 test result no more than 48-hours prior to the gathering.
- Outdoor Social Gatherings shall be limited to five (5) people from outside your household.
- Youth and Adult Sporting Activities: Indoor activities and all contests and games are prohibited. Outdoor activities shall be limited to intra-team practices only, with facial coverings required for all coaches, volunteers and athletes at all times.
Current state guidelines may be extended or revised by Governor Inslee as of January 11, 2021; Hope School will send out additional guidance if necessary at that point depending on what is occurring with COVID-19 protocols and spread rates around the state, the local community, and Hope School.
We hope you had a restful break and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
