Middle School Teacher Hiring Update
We are so pleased to share that we have hired Dominic Snyder as our new 7th grade homeroom teacher for the coming school year. Mr. Snyder is certified in language arts teaching for grades 6-12 from Seattle Pacific University, and has been teaching high school English for the past two years. He brings an ability to relate well to our students and a passion for teaching students with varying interests in language arts. Please join us in praying for his transition and welcoming him to Hope!
4 Open Positions
Hope families, we are actively seeking 3 to 4 caring and committed people to add to our fun staff. Please share these open positions with friends and family you think might be interested in joining our Hope team. We plan to start interviews next week. Thank you!
The application early deadline is Monday, July 19, 2021 for interviews on Wednesday, July 21. Positions begin August 23, 2021. Positions will be open until filled.
- Preschool Assistant Teacher – Full-time position assisting lead teacher in pre-kindergarten full-day classroom Monday through Friday approximately 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Preschool Extended Care Teacher – Position involves creating fun activities and caring for preschool full-day students Monday through Friday approximately 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Recess Supervisor – Part-time position supervising K-8 students during recess Monday through Friday approximately 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Position could be combined with ESC position below for full-time hours.
- Extended School Care (ESC) – Part-time position creating a safe and fun environment after school for K-5 students at Hope; hours are Monday through Friday 2:30 to 5:30 PM. Position could be combined with recess position above for full-time hours.
Qualifications: Candidates for these positions must have a minimum of a high school education or GED and be understanding of and supportive of the ministry of Hope Lutheran Church and School. Experience working with children is ideal.

New Email for Hope School Office
Hope school office will be using a shared email address for communication between our two office managers, Shari Wallace and Tammy Shelver. Moving forward please send your emails to office@hopeseattle.org. This will be for all communications including in the Fall when reporting a student’s absence or tardiness.
Yearbook Reminder
Yearbooks are still available for pickup for all students in grades preschool through 8th grade for the 2020/2021 school year. We have them outside in front of the school during office hours of Mondays through Thursdays between 9-3.
