Parents and Guardians Dropping off Students
Due to continued COVID safety, parents and guardians dropping off students must drop off outside the building each day. We are making an exception to this for the first day of school. On the first day, parents and students may choose to have parents enter the building and head to classrooms for help with classroom supplies or a first day of school picture. Please make this a speedy dropoff. Parents and guardians are welcome to stop by the school office at any point, but again, please limit your visits and keep them short. Thank you for your support.
Classroom Supply Lists:
You will find classroom supply lists on your student’s Gradelink account. Login, then click on the Teacher’s Homepage or Announcement page. At the back-to-school event, please drop off classroom supplies. Email Tammy Shelver with any questions at office@hopeseattle.org .
Wednesday, August 31: First Day of School. PTH will be holding a “BooHoo/Yahoo” event in the Commons from 8:20 am-8:45 am to either cry at or celebrate the first day of school. Stop by and say “hello” to your PTH board and other fellow parents. Light pastries and refreshments offered.
Lunchroom Update
This year, students will return to eating lunch in the lunchroom instead of their classrooms. The lunchroom is located in the Fellowship Hall under the church sanctuary; it is a great open space for students to eat together as a community under the supervision of our lunch helpers. Please be sure your child is prepared for an independent lunch and can open their containers as needed.
Student Medical Information Update:
If your student requires taking medication during the day, requires an Epi Pen, inhaler or even might need the occasional Benadryl for allergies, ect., the office must have an authorization form filled out and signed by the parent. This form can be obtained in the office or emailed to you and must be on file before medication can be given. All medications will be held in the office. Epi pens should be brought to school by the parent and given to the office on the first day of school.
If there is any change in your student’s medical history or insurance, such as an ADHD diagnosis, new IEP/504 plan, new medication, please email the school office so we can update your student’s history in GradeLink.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES:
Substitute Teachers Needed: We are currently looking for Substitute Teachers. Please visit the Hope School website, please click here to fill out an application or share this opportunity with others. Feel free to pass on this opportunity to others if you know of people looking to sub.
