Partnering with Parents by Kristen Okabayashi
A hallmark of Hope Lutheran School is our high value on partnering with students, families, and teachers/staff. We realize that students will perform to the best of their ability if we are all working together to be involved in their learning which research supports. Partnering together at Hope includes providing access to our learning management system Schoology for families of older students, weekly newsletters from the teachers and the school, celebrating together with school and PTH events, and reaching out to families to touch base about how their student(s) is doing in the classroom.
Another important part of this partnership is communicating through parent teacher conferences, which are coming up for K-8 families on November 3 and 4, 2022. We strongly encourage all our K-8 families to sign up for a conference time here with their child’s homeroom teacher. All conferences will be in-person this fall. Topics to cover include how the student is doing in class and with peers, MAP testing results, and questions parents may have. We look forward to seeing you all!

Fall Harvest Spirit Day Monday, October 31, 2022
By request of the 8th grade class, students are invited to wear Fall Harvest themed t-shirts, sweatshirts, and colors on Monday, October 31. This could include fall colors, pumpkins, scarecrows, and that type of thing, with nothing scary that could frighten our younger students. Please note this is not a costume dress up day except for preschool students. Students choosing not to dress up may wear school uniforms since this is not a free dress day.
Note from the Admissions Department
The Kindergarten Information Night is tonight, 10/18 @ 6:30 pm and is for current or prospective preschool families to learn about what it means to be kindergarten ready. Please spread the word to any families thinking about kindergarten next fall!
