Thank you for your interest in working at Hope Lutheran School, a small Christian school, preschool through eighth grade, located in beautiful West Seattle. Hope School was founded in 1959 and now enrolls approximately 220 students.

Hope is looking for substitute teachers for the current school year and next year. Candidates should have experience working with children and/or college coursework in the education field. Preschool Assistant Teacher – Full-time position assisting lead teacher in pre-kindergarten full-day classroom Monday through Friday approximately 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Preschool Extended Care Teacher – Position involves creating fun activities and caring for preschool full-day students Monday through Friday approximately 11:30 AM to 5:30 PM. 

Preschool Afternoon Teacher Job Description

Recess Supervisor – Part-time position supervising K-8 students during recess Monday through Friday approximately 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Position could be combined with ESC position below for full-time hours. 

Recess Supervisor Job Description

Extended School Care (ESC) – Part-time position creating a safe and fun environment after school for K-5 students at Hope; hours are Monday through Friday 2:30 to 5:30 PM. Position could be combined with recess position above for full-time hours.
