Seventh- and eighth-graders have the option to participate in the East Coast trip every other year. Dates, costs, and a sample itinerary are given to students at the beginning of their sixth or seventh grade year. Detailed information and plans for fundraising to defray some of the expenses are planned in the spring and fall. Sites such as the Washington Monument, the White House, Arlington Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, and the Vietnam Memorial are just a few of the amazing places students experience during their trip.

Hope 8th Grade Families – Trip Update March 8, 2022:
Hello East Coast Trip travelers (and parents!)
We are close to finalizing all the details for our trip! I am still waiting for a official itinerary and other details, but I wanted to get out some trip information in the meanwhile.
I will be leading the trip, with Hope’s 6th grade homeroom teacher Tim Allen assisting. We are also pleased to welcome 1 teacher, 2 adult chaperones, and 6 students from Concordia Lutheran School in north Seattle. We have traveled with them in the past, and Concordia is also where I taught for 3 years prior to coming to Hope. We are glad to have you all join us!
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me. Thanks! Kristen
April 29-May 5, 2022
All travelers are required by Worldstrides to be tested for COVID-19 prior to traveling. We will have everyone complete rapid tests on April 28, 2022, the day before traveling. Please note that adult chaperones will need to be tested that day also. All travelers must be fully vaccinated. We will bring a few rapid tests along with our trip, as well as have access to Worldstrides’ medical team if needed.
