Monday:

  • Glee Club 7:45-8:15 AM – Grades 5-8 – Weekly (Mrs. Kunkel/8th grade class) Registration required –  Glee Club Advertisement 2019 contact Mrs. Kunkel at sarakunkel@hopeseattle.org
  • Lego Club 3:00 -3:45 PM – Lego club will meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, also from 3:00-3:45 in the Kindergarten classroom on the main floor of the school, beginning Wednesday, October 9. This club is open to K-5 students and features unstructured Lego play. Led by Hope parents Melanie Gherbaz and Irina Anthony, no registration is needed. Parents should pick up their student at 3:45 from the kindergarten class.
  • Chess club will meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month from 3:00-3:45 in the sixth grade classroom upstairs, beginning next Wednesday, October 2. This club is open to K-8 students who play chess or would like to learn chess. Led by Hope parent Christian Iovin, no registration is needed for this fun and educational club. Parents should pick their student up at 3:45 from the sixth grade classroom. Please note this club is different than our Chess Scholars structured class that meets on Tuesdays.
  • LEST Robotics After School Club  – LEST Robotics will not be offered as an elective this year; robotics will instead be offered as an after school club. Experienced coder and programmer Hope parent Roger Davenport will lead this club on Wednesdays after school from 3:00-5:00 PM. Robotics Club will begin Wednesday, November 13 and end in mid-February. This club is open to students in grades 5-8 who are interested in programming and building Lego Mindstorms robots to compete against other robots, culminating in the LEST competition. Students/parents please email Roger Davenport at roger.neil.davenport+robotics@gmail.com with questions or to reserve a spot, as space is limited.

Thursdays:

  • Middle School Book Club 3:00-4:00 PM – Grades 6-8 – meeting in the View Room on the 2nd floor. No sign up required. Contact Emily Tanis-Likkel at rev.emilyjoy@gmail.com for more information
