Job Opportunities at Hope School for 2016-2017

Hope Lutheran School has four job opportunities for the 2016-2017 school year:

 

  1. Full-time K-8 PE/middle school math or history teaching position
  2. Part-time preschool through 8th grade Spanish teacher
  3. Full-time or close to full-time position working with preschool extended care students
  4. Part-time kindergarten assistant

 

PE/Middle school teacher: full-time position teaching PE and also either middle school math or history. Applicants must hold a teaching certificate; ideal applications will have experience teaching PE and/or coaching and be a rostered Lutheran teacher.

 

Spanish teacher: part-time Spanish teacher position to teach prek through 8th grade students 1-2 times per week. Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Spanish or elementary education.

 

Extended care teacher: full-time or close to full-time position serving in the preschool extended childcare program. Hours are 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday through Friday, with a possible option to cover the morning program 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM. Daycare/childcare experience is preferred, along with early childhood education or training.

 

Kindergarten assistant: half-time position working in the kindergarten classroom, assisting the kindergarten teacher with small reading groups, math support, and general classroom functions. Possible option to cover the morning extended care program 7:00 AM to 8:15 AM. Education experience or degree is preferred, along with a love for children.

 

Required Qualifications: Hope staff must be understanding of and supportive of the ministry of Hope Lutheran Church and School. Candidates must hold a strong personal Christian faith and a servant heart, and must be professional and be strong oral and written communicators. All positions begin August 22, 2016.
