Middle School Students Visit World Vision

World Vision Field Trip 3As part of our Lutheran School’s Celebration, on Wednesday, January 29 the middle school students had the opportunity to visit World Vision headquarters located in Federal Way. Word Vision is an Evangelical Christian humanitarian aid, development, and advocacy organization. It was founded in 1950 and has grown into one of the largest relief and development organizations in the world. The students enjoyed touring the visitors center where they learned about the many ways World Vision impacts people, especially children around the world. A highlight of the visit was meeting President Rich Stearns and hearing about his recent work in Tanzania and Kenya. The field trip had special meaning for many of the students who had supported needy children during the month of December by purchasing animals through a World Vision program with their own money.
