Summer 2017

Parents and Students,
Summer is upon us and as much as the kids are looking forward to the break from school, we all know that there will be those long summer days with not much to do. Why not encourage them to READ!! Our students are strong readers and we would like to see them keep up this great habit over the summer break.
As a way to encourage them to do this, we have developed some reading goals and a reward of a free dress in the fall if goals have been reached.
Below are the reading goals per grade level. Simply keep track of the books that have been read over the summer and turn in the reading log the first week of school the new school year if they would like to participate.

Reading Goals:
5-8 grade: 1500 pages
4th grade: 1250 pages
3rd grade: 1000 pages

Happy Reading!
