The Sounds of Christmas Rang Out!

DSCN1269Families, friends and fellow students gathered tonight to hear the “Sounds of Christmas” echo through the sanctuary at Hope Lutheran School. The Hope Lutheran Chapel band, Glee club, and Bell Choir along with the Seattle Lutheran High school band gave a fabulous concert, exhibiting the many special musical talents of the students. Thad Franklin, music specialist at Hope and SLHS and seventh grade Hope Lutheran teacher, Sarah Kunckel, directed the students. A few of the pieces performed were “Beautiful Things” (Gungor) with Glee club and Hope chapel band, “Away In The Manger” (James R. Murray) by the Bell choir, and  “Postcards From Italy” (Beirut) by SLHS band. Topping off the evening was a collaboration of all the musical talents in a performance of “Christmastime” by Smashing Pumpkins!

Enjoy these videos and pictures from tonight’s performance.
