WOH For Tuesday, June 7, 2016

Posted June 7, 2016 by Shari Wallace & filed under School Newsletter.

Wrapping up the Year by Kristen Okabayashi

As we speed towards summer vacation, thank you to all our families for being part of our larger Hope family this year! Throughout the year, our students have grown so much, from the preschool students learning to write their names, to the second graders memorizing basic math facts, to fifth grade learning about geology and journeying to Mt. St. Helens, and finally to our 8th graders, who have accomplished so much as leaders of our school this year.

Our teachers and staff could probably come up with an infinite number of highlights from this past school year, and some of my own include:

  • Mr. Franklin beginning a band program and Mrs. Kunkel starting a robotics program
  • Raising funds to purchase our beautiful new bus
  • Our new interactive projector system’s debut at the amazing Christmas concert
  • The increase in standardized test scores this year over last year
  • Winning the spirit award at LEST

As we wrap up our last week of the school year, you all are encouraged to celebrate our 8th grade class as they graduate and move on to the high school of their choice. 8th grade graduation is on Friday night June 10th at 7:00 PM.

Thank you all for a wonderful year and we look forward to a warm and relaxing summer!
