WOH For Tuesday, May 14, 2019
Behind the Scenes by Shari Wallace, Office Manager
If you’ve stepped into the school office lately you can most likely feel the buzz. The month of May seems to be a joy filled busy month. In our school office, Mrs. O. has been very busy planning our East Coast trip. This trip has been in the works for the last couple of years and is now culminating! She has also been working on our fall calendar, family interviews, graduation, and conducting hiring interviews for fall. Mrs. Heit and I are busy with re-enrollment (hint: tuition materials are past dueJ), new enrollment, conducting tours, graduation planning, implementing a new summer camp registration and our day to day activities. Not to mention attending to your children as needed, which is truly my favorite part of my job!
I love how students are so eager to enter school each morning. I’m amazed at how diligently our teachers work to create and implement just the right lesson plans. I experienced two students’ interact as they were remorseful of their actions, apologized, and then were forgiven. Your children made beautiful cards with messages of thanks to me for all I do for them, given to me on Administrative Professionals Day. I receive random hugs from students that just make me smile and bring me joy. I walk the halls and see the bible verses on the walls, messages of God’s love for us; reminders to pray for others and to lift our prayers to a God who listens. These small examples of God’s grace and forgiveness give me hope.
Our school theme this school year is “The Joy of the Lord is My Strength” from Nehemiah 8:10. I’m blessed to work in a place where I can receive this joy, which in turn gives me the strength I need every day.
