Sign up for Parent/Teacher Conferences!
When Hope parents are asked what they most appreciate about Hope Lutheran School, the relationships between families and teachers are what consistently rise to the top of the list. An important piece of this relationship is parent/teacher conferences, which will occur during the first week of November.
K-8 student fall conferences are strongly encouraged, particularly during this pandemic school year. Conferences provide an opportunity to discuss how each child is performing, primarily cognitively but also socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Teachers will review MAP test results and parents/guardians will have the opportunity to ask questions.
Preschool student fall conferences are optional, with the required conferences occurring in the spring for preschool.
This year, most conferences will be held with the homeroom teacher only, including middle school. Please click on the link below to sign up for a conference time on November 5 and 6, 2020, with your student’s teacher. All conferences will be held via the homeroom teacher’s Zoom and will be 20 minutes in length.
Please let us know in the office if you have any questions about parent/teacher conferences; we look forward to meeting with all of you!

Fall Harvest Spirit Days
This year, we are particularly looking for opportunities to add joy and spirit into our school days. In that vein, we will offer two optional spirit days next week:
- Monday October 26 – Fall Harvest Accessories Spirit Day – students may wear Fall Harvest themed accessories such as headbands, glasses, socks, tights, and jewelry.
- Friday October 30 – Fall Harvest T-Shirt/Sweatshirt Spirit Day – students may wear Fall Harvest themed t-shirts or sweatshirts, to include fall colors, pumpkins, scarecrows, and that type of thing.
Please note these are optional spirit days so students choosing not to dress up need to wear regular school uniforms. Please be sure accessories and t-shirts/sweatshirts are not scary and are appropriate for preschool students to see; these spirit days are not costume dress-up days.
Happy Fall!
Pandemic Update
COVID-19 confirmed cases are increasing in our county, state, and country. Hope School families have been extraordinarily supportive of keeping our school open, and we appreciate it! Please continue to follow safety protocols such as mask wearing, limiting group gatherings and/or remaining outside, social distancing, and remaining home if you have any COVID-19 symptoms. While we have had many students remain home with symptoms and get tested for COVID-19, we thankfully have not had any positive cases to date. Thank you, and please keep up your hard work on this.
School Directory 2020-2021
Directories will be sent home today to the oldest student through our Tuesday communication envelopes or mailed home for our virtual families.
Chapel Offering Envelopes
Offerings are typically collected during our chapel services from the students using their weekly offering envelopes. These will now be collected in class for now as Hope School continues to sponsor a child, Christopher Tano, through Compassion International. Your students offering envelopes will be sent home each Tuesday. These offerings allow students to develop a pattern of giving as part of their Christian lives and to share God’s love by supporting missions and charities. Therefore, we encourage students to give from their own money (allowance or other earnings).
