Welcome to Hope Lutheran School!

Welcome to Hope Lutheran School, one of the largest private Lutheran schools in the Pacific Northwest. When it was established in 1959, Hope Lutheran School opened its doors to 88 students in grades kindergarten through grade 5 and now serves over 180 students through 8th grade. For sixty years Hope has been educating students for life-long learning in the West Seattle community, intentionally keeping our class sizes small in number so we can get to know your family and student. One unique quality that current families continually mention when talking about Hope Lutheran School is the emphasis we put on forming relationships with our students and parents. The teachers at Hope love to teach, and that love shows in our daily interactions with students.

Faith Focused

"When I came to hope, I was instantly welcomed. I've learned about God, made friends, and become a better student." Hope student

Student Centered

"The teachers really care about their students and want them to succeed. Though HOPE is a small school, it's big in many ways. I know my child is getting a good education, is being challenged academically and in a safe environment." Hope Parent

Inspiring Excellence

"One reason why I love Hope Lutheran School is the class size. I really feel like my son has the opportunity to get the help that he needs when he needs it...so that he can really shine." Hope parent

Celebrate Together with HOPE Auction – March 4, 2023

We are finally able to be together and that is worth celebrating!  Please join us for an evening of fellowship, dancing, and outbidding our neighbors as we support the mission of the PTH!

The gifts you give support the operating budget of the PTH which enables to provide not only community building events and classrooms enhancements, but also the school’s robust art, music, glee and drama specialties, which so many schools do not have.

We hope that you will come spend a lovely and lively evening with us and discover all the different ways you make a difference in our community!

Ok, get ready to see some of the cutest kiddos in West Seattle! These Sea Stars were so excited to help clean up their playground! Such hard workers! And definitely working on those fine motor skills!

Donuts with Grown-ups was a great success!! Thank to all who came to share a sweet treat with their student. This is the first time we have been able to do this event since March 2020. We are thrilled to have these events back! Thank you to our amazing parent PTH for organizing this fun morning. ...#lutheranschools #donutswithgrownups #hopeseattle #hopelutheranstrong #parentgroup
