Faith Focused
"When I came to hope, I was instantly welcomed. I've learned about God, made friends, and become a better student." Hope student
Student Centered
"The teachers really care about their students and want them to succeed. Though HOPE is a small school, it's big in many ways. I know my child is getting a good education, is being challenged academically and in a safe environment." Hope Parent
Nurturing Excellence
"One reason why I love Hope Lutheran School is the class size. I really feel like my son has the opportunity to get the help that he needs when he needs it...so that he can really shine." Hope parent
“Hope has been an amazing place for my son. He has thrived and greatly improved his testing scores. Probably the most important thing is that he comes home every day from middle school and says he had a great day.”
-Hope Parent

How we use MAP Testing at Hope School
Our K-8 grade students crushed the Spring MAP test (national standardized testing) with strong average scores in Math (79%), Reading (78%) and Language Usage (83%)! A particular highlight: 55% of Hope students in grades 3-8 had test scores in the top 20% of the nation’s students in Language Usage. Well done!
At Hope, students are tested three times a year within the MAP testing protocol beginning in transitional kindergarten which gives teachers a simple picture of how each student performs on that particular day. In combination with other various assessment tools throughout the year, teachers gain a more complete picture of the progress of a student.
In addition to helping teachers understand where each student stands academically in each particular subject, MAP results also help us identify where we can improve our teaching and curriculum resources.
We believe the addition of our new literacy curriculum, Amplify, combined with the consistent implementation of IXL (interactive online personalized learning program) has helped our students improve their language usage scores this year.
We are proud of our students and teachers!
