Thank you for your interest in applying to Hope Lutheran School.  We look forward to partnering with you in your child’s education. Please note: If you are interested in apply for Kindergarten, applicants must have reached their 5th birthday by August 31st of the enrollment year. To enroll in our Preschool 3 or 4 program, students must turn 3 or 4 by August 31st.

Step 1: Take a Tour

We enjoy giving families a tour of our campus. We give weekly tours every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. during the school year or by appointment. Please email the admissions director to schedule your tour.

Step 2: Fill out an application

Preschool Applicants:

  • Complete the online application
  • Upload to the application portal, email or mail a copy of the student’s birth certificate and immunizations
  • Submit the New Family Deposit ($150) and registration fee ($200) in the application portal or by cash or check to the school office. We cannot process credit cards in the school office at this time.

Kindergarten through grade 8 Applicants:

  • Complete the online application
  • Upload to the application portal, email or mail a copy of the student’s birth certificate and immunizations
  • Submit the New Family Deposit ($150), registration fee ($200) and assessment fee ($40) in the application portal or by cash or check to the school office. We cannot process credit cards in the school office at this time.
  • Submit previous report cards from the most current year either by uploading to the application portal or via email.
  • Upload to the application portal or email the teacher recommendation.
  • Copies of any private or school district testing, IEP or 504 plan can be uploaded to the application portal or emailed. Students with 504 Plans or IEPs: We endeavor to meet the needs of each student, however as a private school with limited resources we are not always able to provide all the services a student might need to be set up for success at our school. Our ability to meet each applicant’s needs will be evaluated upon application and based on the information provided using testing results, an IEP or 504 plan.

Step 3: Schedule an assessment (K5 through grade 8 only)

  • Once the application materials are submitted the admissions director will schedule an assessment with our educational specialist. There is a $40 assessment fee.
  • Assessments will take place at Hope School and vary in length depending on grade level. Plan on approximately 40 minutes to an hour and a half. The assessment will be taken on a school provided iPad.
  • Students may also take the assessment remotely as long as they have two devices: one to take the test on and one to Zoom with out specialist. Please let the admissions director know if your student will need this option.

Step 4: Family Interview

We enjoy getting to know new families and this is an opportunity for you to meet the principal, ask questions and get to know your family. This interview will either be conducted via Zoom or in person by appointment. The entire family is encouraged to join the family interview.
