About

Letter From The Principal

Welcome to Hope Lutheran School!

One unique quality that current families continually mention when talking about Hope Lutheran School is the emphasis we put on forming relationships with our students and parents. The teachers at Hope love to teach, and that love shows in our daily interactions with students. When I first toured Hope as a prospective parent back in 2004 (six years before I became the principal), I noticed Hope students’ strong test scores, the school’s focus on God, and the small class sizes. As important as those things are, what stood out to me was the teachers’ friendliness and interactions with their students. I was so impressed at the warmth, the strong classroom management skills, and the love that the Hope teachers and the whole staff showed their students. Once I enrolled my own four children at Hope, I also learned that the warmth and friendliness extended to parents as well!

At Hope Lutheran School, we value rigorous academics and a strong Christian foundation. Our dynamic technology program and balanced assortment of classes including fine arts, athletics, electives, and technology, in addition to the core subjects of literacy, math, science, and history, equip our students for lifelong learning. And, our small class sizes enable teachers to form strong relationships with students and parents that set the foundation for success.

As the current principal at Hope, I still feel that care and genuine love for what we do. We believe in meeting each student where they are academically, physically, and spiritually, and helping them turn into the young men and women God created them to be! I invite you to come in for a tour of our school, and you can witness this for yourself.

Blessings,

Kristen Okabayashi, Principal
