Hope North Expansion
Hope Lutheran families are invited to join us on Friday, September 15th from 6-8pm as we share future plans for expansion through our Hope North campaign efforts. Classroom Supply Lists
You will find classroom supply lists on your student’s Gradelink account. Login, then click on the Teacher’s Homepage or Announcement page. At the back-to-school event, please drop off classroom supplies.
Hope K-8 school uniforms and grades 5-8 PE uniforms: available through Lands End.
Gently Used Uniform Exchange: Beginning Wednesday 8/23, from 9 am-3 pm, you are welcome to stop by the school and choose any gently-used clothing items your student may still need. You are also free to keep bringing in any uniform items your child may have outgrown. We will keep this available through 9/7 so feel free to stop by!
Student Medical Information Update
If your student requires taking medication during the day, requires an Epi Pen, inhaler or even might need the occasional Benadryl for allergies, ect., the office must have an authorization form filled out and signed by the parent. This form can be obtained in the office or emailed to you and must be on file before medication can be given. All medications will be held in the office. Epi pens should be brought to school by the parent and given to the office on the first day of school. If there is any change in your student’s medical history or insurance, such as an ADHD diagnosis, new IEP/504 plan, new medication, please email the school office so we can update your student’s history in GradeLink.

Back to School Event, Wed, 8/30; 11:00am-1:00pm or 5:00pm-7:00pm
We look forward to seeing everyone at our annual back to school event! Families are invited to join us in the classroom from either 11:00am-1:00pm or from 5:00pm-7:00pm, based on family last name (see below). Students will have an opportunity to meet their teachers during a 15 minute time slot, scheduled by last name. After visiting the classroom and dropping off your student’s classroom supplies, please head out to the north parking lot for the uniform exchange tables, information on the hot lunch program, and the PTH table. PTH will host an ice cream social on the north lot & playground for families.

First Day of School – Tues, 9/5
The start and end times will be the same for all grades K-8. Drop-off will be between 8:15-8:30am and pickup the first day is noon; the regular pickup time is 3:00pm. After you drop off your students at school, your PTH welcomes you to join them in the school Commons to shed tears at new beginnings and celebrate the great school year ahead at the annual Boohoo/Yahoo. Come meet your fellow parents and enjoy light refreshments and pastries. We look forward to welcoming both new faces and familiar ones.
Boohoo/Yahoo Parking: Parking is available in the Lowers (parking lot behind the church in the alley); Hope North parking lot (located on SE corner of 41st Ave SW & SW Genesee St) and street parking.
Hot Lunch Program – Begins Monday, 9/11
We have a new hot lunch provider, the Lunch Ladies. Our program is now available 5 days a week (M-F) during our 1st trimester to all PS – 8th grade families. You may order & pay daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. There are a variety of meals, sizes and add-on options. Click on the registration form here. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES (PIP hours apply!)
Lunchroom Volunteer Opportunities: Monday-Friday 11:45 am-1:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Volunteers are needed each day for lunch supervision, disinfection, and clean-up. Please contact the Hope office to volunteer at office@hopeseattle.org.
Co-ed Head Soccer Coach or Parent Volunteers
Attention parents! We’re looking for a head co-ed soccer coach and parent volunteers to help our school team for students in grades 5-8. This is a great opportunity to support student athletes and double down on your workout by getting PIP hours at the same time. Hope Church Reader Board Changer

FALL KICK OFF at Hope Church: Everyone is welcome to join us on Sunday, September 10th as we kick off the fall season! Teachers will be recognized at the 10:00am service, followed by lunch and lots of fun together with special activities including a bounce house. Fun for the whole family!
