Hope Staffing Update
I am so pleased to announce that we have hired Michele Olsen as our Sea Star (preschool 3s) assistant for next year! Michele subbed for Hope School over the past year and taught preschool at Concordia Seattle for several years prior to that. With her energy, passion, and experience teaching in early childhood, she will be a great addition to our preschool team!
I am equally excited to let you know that we have hired Sashia Torrence as our part-time K-4 PE teacher for the coming year. Sashia just finished up her elementary education degree from Concordia Portland and has worked as a volleyball and dance/cheer coach over the years. With a particular focus on teaching PE, she will be a great addition to our staff, working with the support of current athletic director Brett Kapels.
Lastly, I wanted to let you know that Emma Maltsberger, current prek-sixth grade Spanish teacher, will not be returning to Hope in the fall. Mrs. Maltsberger has taught Spanish at Hope for the past five years and so she will be missed! We have begun to interview for this position already and expect to have a decision sometime in the next two weeks so we will update you all soon.

If you are interested, please call the school office or email Sally Heit @ sheit@hopeseattle.org for more information. Go Eagles!
