Faith Focused
"When I came to hope, I was instantly welcomed. I've learned about God, made friends, and become a better student." Hope student
Student Centered
"The teachers really care about their students and want them to succeed. Though HOPE is a small school, it's big in many ways. I know my child is getting a good education, is being challenged academically and in a safe environment." Hope Parent
Nurturing Excellence
"One reason why I love Hope Lutheran School is the class size. I really feel like my son has the opportunity to get the help that he needs when he needs it...so that he can really shine." Hope parent

The 8th grade elves were busy in their workshop putting gifts together for Providence Mount St Vincent in West Seattle yesterday. Beloved teacher, leader, and servant and Hope Church member, Shirley Vradenburgh, has delivered gifts to the "Mount" for years and this year is no different.... The 8th graders were happy to step up and fill bags with goodies to bring Christmas cheer to the Mount. This is just one of many service opportunities that Hope students participate in to give back to their community. #hopelutheranstrong #hopeseattle #westseattle #middleschooleducation #servicetocommunity
Did you know you can do science wearing reindeer antlers and Snoopy ears? It's true. Seventh grade worked in the lab today measuring craters created by various sized marbles dropped from different heights to model the craters created by meteors striking the moon. Students created a plan for ...the experiment of what distances to test, how they would measure, and record their data and what marbles they would use.
This kind of experimentation builds curiosity, critical thinking, and real-world understanding—because the best learning happens when students can see and do. 🚀📏

Congratulations to the Hope Robotics club on placing 13th out of 28 teams at their first ever First Lego League Robotics competition! They have been working hard this fall in preparation for this all day event which included a team presentation and three rounds of competition.
This is an ...exciting accomplishment for the team as it is their first time competing at this level. They have learned a lot about design, trial-and-error, programming and most importantly, teamwork.
The next adventure? Sumo Bots for LEST!

Wonderful worms! Garden Club is learning about worm composting! With the help of Dave, volunteer and worm composter, students are learning, and getting their hands dirty, about the importance of worms in our environment. The most crucial part they play is to make soil!
The group ...participated in making their own worm compost bin and Dave donated the worms. Students will feed and monitor the progress of the worms over the next few months and hopefully have compost to use in the garden. Stay tuned!
