Earn A Free Dress Pass with Summer Reading!
Avoid the “summer slide.” Did you know that students who do not read during the summer lose approximately one month of instruction from the previous school year? The teachers of Hope school, along with Principal Mrs. Okabayashi, encourage all students to continue reading during the summer vacation months to avoid the summer reading slump. All students who read and turn in their logs receive a small prize even if they do not reach their minutes goal.
Print out the Summer Reading List to keep track of the number of books you have read throughout the summer, and record the date, minutes read and parent signature on the Summer reading log. Turn both sheets into your teacher the first week of school.
