Love At All Times by Kristen Okabayashi, Hope Principal
With the new month comes a new theme for Hope’s social emotional learning curriculum Friendzy. You will find a handout explaining more about the “Love at all Times” theme in the communication envelopes today. Students will learn more about the importance of being a true friend to each other through thick and thin.
Loving through thick and thin is an area of strength in our Hope school and church community. Our staff particularly embody this naturally, as we support one another whole-heartedly during rough times or even just times where we have differences of opinion. Even if we disagree, we can find a common ground to work together well regardless. And when a teacher or student or even a Hope parent is struggling, we will reach out to journey alongside them with prayer, care, and encouragement.
I invite you to explore how you can work on this theme as a family too during the month of October!

This form can be obtained in the office or emailed to you and must be on file before medication can be given. All medications will be held in the office. Epi pens should be brought to school by the parent and given to the office on the first day of school. Chapel Offerings for September and October: Each week, when we gather for chapel, we collect a chapel offering. A small yellow offering envelope will be going home in the Tuesday Yellow Envelope today. Our chapel offerings are used to support ministries and those in need, locally and globally. Through the years, we have supported a child through Compassion International, Living Water, and missionaries that spread the word of Christ in other parts of the world. In early August, a catastrophic fire swept through Lahaina in Maui, where lives were lost, and many people lost their homes and businesses. Our chapel offerings for September and October will be designated for Maui Wildfire Relief through Emmanuel Lutheran Church and School in Lahaina and the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of the LCMS (Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod). Both Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the CNH District are using offerings to help support the needs of those in their community.
